Groundwork London and Southwark MHST

We are delighted to announce that Groundwork London and their Mental Health Support Team, are going to be working with individual students over the academic year, as well as our form representatives during their Student Council meetings, to offer support, advice and tools surrounding mental health and wellbeing.

Groundwork’s vision is to promote and embed mental health and wellbeing practices across Southwark schools that actively protect and promote young people’s mental health and wellbeing; establish a common language and positive ethos around mental health and wellbeing; and create a culture of accessibility and inclusion for all to thrive in. Their Southwark Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is part of a national initiative to transform children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing support. The MHST works across primary and secondary schools in Southwark providing early intervention and prevention wellbeing support to children, young people, their families and school staff.
